Policies and Procedures
Participation in the graduation ceremony with unmet academic degree requirements will inhibit your diploma from being released. All academic requirements must be met before the diploma is issued. If requirements are not met within one semester following graduation, students will have to comply with current catalog requirements for the degree. This may significantly alter the remaining requirements needed to complete to receive the diploma.
If students need to take your exit exam or certification test, they have up to one year from graduation to finish the required test or certification. Please contact us when this requirement is completed.
An important note about certification: If awarded with a degree without a state certification, such as an SAE for an education degree, the certification cannot be added to a transcript at a later date. The degree, once awarded, cannot be changed, added to, or altered in any way.
If a student has six credit hours or less of internship or course work remaining towards a degree program, students may apply to participate in the graduation ceremony. The student must be registered for it and have paid all tuition in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
The graduating student’s account balance must be $0 including any registration for succeeding terms, to participate in commencement. No diploma will be released until the student account balance is paid in full. This includes fines, room damages, and graduation fee.
Students must meet all academic and institutional requirements to graduate. Graduation Advisors from the Office of Academic Advising document that all requirements are met. |
